Jera Line is excited to announce that our mechanical shear head bolted cable connector – CCBIT-4-25-150 has officially passed the IEC 61238-1 type test, verifying its adherence to international standards for mechanical and electrical performance in cable terminations.
IEC 61238-1 is a standard released by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) which stipulates specific requirements for compression and mechanical connectors used with power cables.
The test requirements include:
Electrical Tests-Short-circuit current withstand test and Resistance measurement.
Mechanical Tests-Tensile strength which measured by pull-out force tests
Thermal Aging Test-Simulates long-term performance under load cycles (1000 times of heat cycle).
