Mechanical cable connectors other called Shear Head Bolt Connectors were developed for jointing the electric power cable during the construction of low, middle and high voltage power grids.

Shear Bolt Connectors are suitable for aluminum and copper cables, of different sizes and different wiring structures like stranded conductor, solid, round, with cable conductor sizes 4 to 300 mm2. Those wide application range is achieved by using advanced technology of 3 zones of shear head bolt torque, which eliminate the incorrect installation.

Jera line has studied a huge variety of low, medium and high voltage cable joints. We have implemented the most suitable cable jointing accessories and Shear Connectors for the purpose of termination and connection of electric power transmission lines. We produce shear head cable connectors from high strength, corrosion resistant aluminum materials, with tin plating. Triple toque zones of aluminum bolts guarantee confident electrical connection for different diameters of cables, and absence of critical resistance.

All the electrical cable lugs were tested according to national and European IEC 61238-1-3:2019 test requirements.
