What are hidden shipping costs?
Hidden transportation costs refer to various indirect costs that do not directly appear in the freight transportation costs in logistics and supply chains, but have an impact on enterprises.
How does JERA LINE reduce these hidden transportation costs?
-
Deliver more products, not more empty air volume in your order in Jera Line. Our customers can order more products in one container, compared to others. In same container or pallet you can transport more products. Jera Line unifies the product size, carton size, and pallet, to make the importation for you more effective and cut the logistics costs.
-
Packing data estimation before order placing. We consider logistics and the delivery of product as a part of production process where you can receive our products with less costs related. So our sales team will recommend you what item to add to maximize the loading capacity.
-
Product Management: Ensure effective product management to prevent additional transportation costs arising from product quality issues.
-
Warehouse and Documentation Staff Training: Train warehouse and documentation personnel to ensure smooth shipment processes. If the problem accrued – we will inform you.
-
Save on warehousing with Jera: our optimized, compact yet high-performance products require less storage volume, cutting space needs and costs. Whether stored in bulk or individually, they streamline your layout, minimize square footage, and reduce storage fees—while keeping inventory organized and accessible.
-
Help to reduce your budget on deliveries to your customer, no empty air deliveries: Our products’ optimized design and packaging maximize load efficiency, ensuring every delivery is fully utilized. No more wasted space—this cuts fuel costs, transportation fees, and reduces your carbon footprint.
-
Standardized factory packaging lets you order with a lower MOQ—no need to wait for custom cartons: Pre-made, consistent packaging enables smaller batch orders without delays, streamlining inventory management. This flexibility cuts upfront investment, avoids production hold-ups from custom packaging lead times, and lets you respond faster to market demands while keeping operations efficient. A practical solution for agile, cost-effective ordering.
-
Bulk cartons on pallets: Jera Line provides recommendations based on your specific situation. For FCL (full container load) orders, we suggest carton packaging as it saves space. For LCL (less than container load) shipments, pallet packaging is recommended for better protection during transit. Pallet costs are typically quoted separately from unit prices, and you can choose to add pallets or not based on your order—all fully transparent.

-
Quality Costs: Damages, losses, or delays in logistics processes may result in decreased product quality.

-
Customer Dissatisfaction: Logistics problems can lead to customer dissatisfaction, affecting a company’s reputation.
