Jera Line using the IEC 61238-1-3 testing scope for its internal quality control. JERA LINE has laboratory and can conduct the above tests on site this ensure products quality.

The IEC 61238-1-3 is an international standard titled “Compression and mechanical connectors for power cables – Part 1-3: Test methods and requirements for compression and mechanical connectors for power cables for rated voltages above 1 kV (Uₘ = 1,2 kV) up to 30 kV (Uₘ = 36 kV) tested on non-insulated conductors.” It outlines the type test methods and requirements for compression and mechanical connectors used in power cables with copper or aluminum conductors. This standard is part of a series that specifies the testing procedures to ensure the reliability and safety of the connectors used in power cable installations.

This test applies to shear bolted mechanical lugs and connectors for electrical connections. Jera Line produces these connectors such as torque nut mechanical bolt cable lug and sleeves designed to be installed with cables. The IEC 61238-1-3 test includes Mechanical strength test and Electrical aging test.
