We are pleased to announce that Jera Line’s insulation piercing connector ZOP-57 has successfully passed third-party testing and is now fully compliant with the EN 50483-4 standard.
EN 50483-4 is a European standard that defines performance and testing requirements for insulation piercing connectors (IPC) used in low-voltage aerial bundled cable (ABC) systems. Compliance with this standard ensures that the product meets strict criteria for mechanical strength, electrical performance, sealing ability, and long-term durability in outdoor environments.
The main test involves the following: marking and appearance test, dielectric voltage test in water, corrosion aging test, climatic aging test, branch cable pull-out test, connector bolt tightening test, shear head function test, low-temperature impact and assembly test, and electrical aging test, mechanical strength test. The certificate is issued only if all of them are passed.
Obtaining this third-party report confirms that Jera Line is capable of producing IPCs that are compatible with international applications and meet high-quality standards.
This certification reinforces our commitment to providing safe, reliable, and standards-compliant solutions for low-voltage overhead power systems.
